Volume of handwritten entries contains Charleston and Berkeley County Game Association records (1889-1898) including a list of members, the constitution, and minutes from meetings. Volume also contains a copy (after 1920) of a portion of the reminiscences (n.d.) of a Charleston, South Carolina physician Walter Peyre Porcher, M.D. copied in pencil by his daughter, Elizabeth Porcher. Porcher expounds upon of the medical profession's relationship to the public. Porcher also describes his ill treatment at boarding school, his two years at military school, his study of the classics, his studies at college in an eastern state, and his medical school education.
